Man, the blues are the road to freedom. So many things, trials, tribulations, and heart aches have driven people to write, play, and sing the blues, over the years. Those same heavy issues are still around and their effect must be expressed. The blues are a way to free the heart and mind of those heavy issues.
Playing the blues is the channel flowing from the deep dark hole of a lost situation, to an ocean of clarity. Each note is another part of that flow to that clarity. I want to play the blues because my expressions want to be added to others who have offered a solution to those heavy issues. It is a path to freedom.
